How exactly do you measure a person’s character? I would like to believe that I have built at least a fourth of my character. I would also like to believe that I am a better version of myself compared to the adolescent and teenage me. I have learned what being humble really means.
I have learned to think before I speak. I have learned the importance of being honest. I have learned what it really means to be courageous. I have learned the importance of being honest. I have learned that importance of being responsible of my own actions and owning up when I make wrong decisions. I have learned how to choose my friends, sorting through who are trustworthy and who are fickle. I have learned the importance of choosing to do what is right instead of following the trend. I have learned not to completely categorize when I meet someone new and decided only when I get to know the person a bit better. I believe in keeping an open mind and give everyone a chance to redeem themselves when they have done something wrong because I believe that everyone deserves a second chance. I have learned to believe more in my God and include Him in all the important decisions that I made and will make.
However, despite the good values that I have realized, I am far from being the best person there is. I am still impulsive, temperamental, quick to doubt myself, lazy, insecure, and a lot more.
I am a complex character and I believe everyone is complex especially since everyone have different experiences and thought processes. I am thankful and proud to be different.
Your pain in the ass,
Disclaimer: The questions that I am using for the ‘Ask Yourself’ will come from the mobile app called Questions Diary which is available in Play Store. I decided to write my answers here because I wanted to share my thoughts to anyone who’ll stumble upon this. This is also a way for me to try to get myself to write everyday.
